Tetsuko menuliskan perjalanannya dengan sudut pandang seorang ibu, seorang perempuan, yang tidak sok menggurui dengan analisis tentang berbagai petaka nato da negara-negara yang dia kunjungi.
Dan saya belum pernah membaca buku senyata ini, yang intorno a setiap penggal ceritanya membuat saya harus menutup halaman sejenak, karena saking sesaknya dada dan pilunya hati.

Perjalanan kemanusiaan sebagai duta UNICEF yang dilakukan Totto-chan sungguh mengharukan. Totto-chan bertemu dengan jutaan anak dari puluhan negara. Sungguh menyedihkan melihat kehidupan anak-anak yang sejak kceil sudah merasakan begitu banyak penderitaan.
Benarlah itu kedamaian adalah kondisi keberjayaan bagi kemanusiaan. Umat manusia senantiasa menunggu kondisi madani, membuatnya menjadi nyata setidaknya perlu disisipkan dalam cita-cita kehidupan kita.
Lebih dari 20 tahun, pastinya sudah banyak yang berubah dari negara-negara itu, bisa jadi lebih buruk tapi tentu harapan kita semua, kondisi menjadi lebih baik nato da sana.
Entah apa yang ingin aku tulis setelah selesai membaca kisah Totto-chan dewasa. Air mata ku tak henti menetes, dada ini terasa sesak. Semahal itu kah harga sebuah Perdamaian?
Ntah apa yang mereka pikirkan, bahkan membedakan mana musuh dan mana teman mungkin mereka juga bingung, namun mereka dipaksa melakukannya. Ketika anak-anak itu bermain, banyak dari mereka yang terkena ranjau darat. Ada anak yang meninggal tapi ada juga yang harus kehilangan kaki, tangan ato luka parah intorno a tubuhnya. Anak sekecil itu harus merasakan kesakitakn sebegitu besar?? Betapa mengerikannya perang itu!!!

First drop I had a good boof, second drop came up fast and I managed a stroke and sunk into the hole, leaning over the right a touch and bumping gently into the rock at the caposaldo. But anzi che no problems, it was a light bump and I was wearing my elbow pads. Agus ran next, needing a roll but otherwise making it nicely. Toto had a pretty good run and when I he let out a yell of delight at the end it just made me happy to see how stoked he was. He certainly was loving it! Hugh was last to run and went Sopra half asleep. He doesn’t take a lot of rapids seriously, I have voto negativo idea why. He dropped down, didn’t boof, pitoned Per mezzo di and went over onto his face, hugging the rock. I’m sure it looks great Con the video.
The path was HOT, full of jungle plants and also extremely humid. Generally the temperatures hadn’t been bad at all, but once Con that forest it was pretty intense. Some sort of plant touched my knee and it burnt like fire for a bit but we carried on.
Every story brings tears to my eyes, pain in my chest. Amazingly, this is written Con high spirit and unwavering faith. Perhaps a lesson I learned from this book is: if you want to change the world, start from yourself and the small world around you.
I can’t quite remember the story but I think there was a jail nearby to this drop. We first scouted it from above. There was a narrow rapid consisting of solid bedrock leading up the sommità drop and also the worst undercut I’ve ever seen but more on that later. This was the first time we had seen rock like this and it was very promising as all the rivers we had seen have river beds consisting of boulders. The waterfall looked very high from above and the cima drop marginally runnable, so we went to look from the bottom.

Stay away… Getting to the waterfalls principio didn’t pose a problem and I admired the view from the cool pool below. The first drop was high, maybe some 18 to 20m, then there was a few metres before another smaller slanted drop of about 2 or 3m and then a small pool about four metres long and then the final drop of about 18m. The volume was quite low. I looked at it and almost immediately decided this waterfall did not have my name on it. If it had triple or quadruple the volume I would have considered it but the margin for error was slim and wheelchairs don’t appeal to me.
